One by One

Published by Bob at 10:48 am under commuting, daily bicycling

Each year I take the weeks of Christmas and New Years off from work. This year I rode less during my time off than in past years. Mostly because the weather did not inspire me to get out to ride and I had few places which I needed to go.

So after two weeks of reduced physical activity, followed by commuting to work Monday and Tuesday, I awoke this morning feeling like I have not been on my bike for two months. Well maybe it does not feel that bad, but my legs do feel the affects of the reduced mileage during the past two weeks.

Last night there was a storm front coming in with strong winds as rode home from work. It felt like I was on a perpetual hill and when I was on a long steep hill, I thought I could count the spokes as I watched them pass by one by one by one by one…. But still I would not trade the view for anything.

Today I am commuting by bike, but I am also using the MAX train for part of the trip.
