Winter Cycling Shoes

This morning was the first time I wore my winter cycling shoes (Lake MXZ 302) since early spring. It was 39 degrees when I headed out and after about 30 minutes of riding it was still around 40 degrees and my feet were toasty warm.
I don’t purchase a lot of cycling specific accessories because I think there are less expensive and equally if not better alternatives, but I have not found anything better in keeping my feet warm and dry during the winter than my Lake shoes. Nothing seems to make a long ride longer than having cold and or wet hands and feet.
I have tried the shoe covers and booties, but nothing works as well as these shoes in all kinds of winter weather. And no, I am not being paid by Lake to endorse their product.

My feet and hands are always cold and I haven’t found a solution. I have found that my feet stay warmer when I am not using clipless pedals. I may have to look into your shoes.
Since being diagnosed with diabetes, I have become more aware of the importance in keeping my hands and feet warm. The shoes have been a great investment in keeping my feet warm and dry, thus keeping on my bike in the winter.
