Netherlands Cycling

Published by Bob at 9:57 am under bicycling

Last night I had some down time at work, and was cruising the web when I came across a blog from the Netherlands. I always like reading about cycling in other parts of the world to see how bike culture is there.

There are some very interesting and good posts on this site, but one of my favorites was one which included a video of a ride through the countryside. Instead of the normal wind noise the video was accompanied by music, which I think fits some of my cycling adventures. Maybe a bit too good of a fit. :-)

Here is the video.

Be sure to check out: A view from the cycle path

I’m glad you enjoyed the blog, and thanks very much for linking to it. The music on this video is played by my friend Terry Clark - a great musician as well as a cyclist with whom I’ve been on quite a few cycling adventures.

You can watch him play the same piece here:

David - You are welcome. Sharing good content with others is always a pleasure, but I especially enjoy quality bicycle websites.

That was great! I am so envious the bicycling culture in places like Denmark and the Netherlands. I have a friend whose roots go back to the Netherlands. She travels there on a regular basis and sends me great pics of her cycling.

The music was good also. But I don’t if I can take six minutes of the same trekkspill over and over . :)

Someday I would like to travel there to experience the culture and see the sights. It would be an excellent vacation destination for me. Currently I am in Hawaii and experiencing bicycle withdraws.
