When accelerating from a stop my foot slipped from the pedal on the upstroke and I almost injured my man parts. So I need that part of technology. But riding without the computer was kind of fun. Tom - I always leave early enough to include some meandering on the way. I think that is what really gives me my "mental sunshine" before I arrive at work. Get out and ride without clipless pedals, or clips or spandex or a computer. I find by doing that once in awhile it brings back the pleasure I felt about bicycling when I was kid.
