Red - Not too long ago I rode a bike without clipless pedals. When accelerating from a stop my foot slipped from the pedal on the upstroke and I almost injured my man parts. So I need that part of technology. But riding without the computer was kind of fun.

Tom - I always leave early enough to include some meandering on the way. I think that is what really gives me my "mental sunshine" before I arrive at work.

A computer is nice but mine was stolen. At first I missed it. Now I don't care. I would like to know my mileage a little more accurately. But the most part I only miss the clock- it would be good to know if I could meander a little more before work

Toms last blog post..<a href="http://bikingbristol.blogspot.com/2008/08/delayed-rain-bikes-everywhere.html" rel="nofollow">Delayed rain & bikes everywhere</a>

I think it is good on a regular basis to go low tech. Get out and ride without clipless pedals, or clips or spandex or a computer.

I find by doing that once in awhile it brings back the pleasure I felt about bicycling when I was kid.

Just relax and ride.
