Joy Riding

Published by Bob at 10:45 am under bicycling

Last night I was thinking I have been doing a lot of commuting, but little recreational riding. So I decided I was going drive into work today, take Friday off , making it a long weekend and to start it off I was going to go for a joyride before work.

I rode a 30 mile loop this morning going over the I205 bridge into Oregon, then ride along the Columbia River and cross back over into Washington on the Interstate bridge. I took my digital point and shoot along with me on ride so I could take a couple of photos during my ride.

Below are a few photos from the ride.

Using my bike for so many utilitarian purposes I have started to get away from the joy of riding around aimlessly on recreational rides. I need to do more of this even if it means I need to drive to work more.

Sounds like a really nice ride! I love the bike trail signs that are like the car signs, “41 min to…”. Thanks for the pics.
